Fall is here, and those of us in Richmond are anxious to leave the hot, dry summer behind us.   Rain may be scarce, but there are plenty of events to help us forget the dry gardens and dusty lawns.  Here are two that I recommend  for this week.

Benefiting the Visual Arts Center of Richmond

1812 West Main Street

Thursday, September 23

6-8 pm

Game starts promptly at 7 pm

Purchase advance tickets at www.visarts.org

Buy a ticket to pick your favorite piece from work donated by local artists (including me).  All tickets win.  The “luck of the draw” determines the order in which ticket holders make their selections.  Artists are anonymous, as all work is signed on the back.

Sunday, September 26

11:00 – 5:00

University of Richmond

I will be at booth #73 which is at the far end from the Student Commons and closest to the Robins Center parking lot.  We move into the Robins Center in case of rain.  Either way, the information booth will have a map with artists and booth numbers.  I will have some new drawings including the one above.  Come  out if  you can!

Sarah, are both in studio paintings listed on this site for sale?

The two under “Recent Landscapes” are both available. I can email more information if you like.
